SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts – The American International College Men's Basketball team fell short to Saint Michael's College 68-57 in a Northeast 10 Conference contest on Wednesday, January 21.
The Yellow Jackets' record falls to 3-15 on the season and 2-6 in the NE10.
The Yellow Jackets had a 30-28 lead going into the second half after a back-and-forth first half; AIC led by as much as four and Saint Michael's by as much as five, with AIC regaining the lead twice late on Aleksy Walczak threes.
Despite the strong start, AIC could not hang on as the Purple Knights outscored the Yellow Jackets 40-27 in the second half thanks in part to a 12-point run in the middle of the frame.
Walczak had the most points for the Yellow Jackets, scoring 15, with Tony Felder right behind him with 14.
The Yellow Jackets will face off against Saint Anselm College on Saturday, January 24 at 3:30 p.m. in Manchester, New Hampshire.
