Golf kicks off spring with strong showing at Hawk Invitational

CANDIA, New Hampshire - In Head Golf Coach Craig Cowles debut with the team, the American International College men's golf squad put together an admirable showing, finishing fifth of eight at the Hawk Invitational on Tuesday, April 15.

AIC scored a 300 as a team, just six strokes behind top-placing Post University and host Saint Anselm College.

Matt Garrity was AIC's top finisher, taking ninth with a two-over 73 as he carded three birdies on the back nine, including on the final hole of the day. Daniel Kibe was right behind him, shooting a 74 that included a pair of front-nine birdies, while Brendan Raymond and William Alberty each also finished two individual holes under par and shoot 75 and 78, respectively.

Max Shepardson, Andrew Morris, and Aaron Ryniec also competed, and each put at least one circle on the card as well.

AIC will next take the course on Friday, April 18 at the Penmen Spring Invitational.
