SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College women's lacrosse team lost a 16-2 Northeast-10 Conference matchup against Assumption University on Tuesday, February 25.
AIC is now 1-2 overall and 0-2 in the NE10.
The Greyhounds darted out to a 7-0 lead before AIC scored the second quarter's first goal. Isabelle Stone set up Gabrielle Walz for a shot from the right side at 0:53. At halftime, Assumption led 10-1.
AIC's second goal was the game's final tally, a Jordyn Galgay strike off of a feed from Robin Trombly at 11:28 of the fourth.
Maggie Kloster made 12 saves in the setback.
AIC next faces West Chester University on Friday, February 28 at 3:00 p.m.
