GREENWOOD, Indiana – College Sports Communicators announced its 2025 Academic All-District teams for men's and women's soccer on Tuesday, November 25. Six members from each of the American International College men's and women's soccer programs earned the honor.
To qualify, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average on a four-point scale, with graduate students being required to meet that standard for both their undergraduate and graduate work; additionally, the student-athlete must have played in 90 percent or started 66 percent of their team's games. Institutions were limited to six nominees per team.
On the men's side, the honorees were
Cornelius Christensen,
Guilherme Afonso,
Joseph Albano,
Pietro Botasso,
Thomas Lafayette, and
Tyler Ferreira.
For the women's squad, winners were
Ava Boldi,
Elena Nunez,
Jocelyn Wilson,
Kaitlin Mcdonald,
Lily Shields, and
Sara Avery.
Of the dozen awardees, five have been recognized for the second time. Christensen, Afonso, Lafayette, Mcdonald, and Avery were all recognized previously in 2024.
