Adelphi pulls away late to defeat Women's Soccer

GARDEN CITY, New York - The American International College women's soccer team fell 4-0 at Adelphi University in Northeast 10 Conference play on Saturday, October 11.

AIC is now 2-6-1 with a 1-3-0 NE10 record.

The game was close for the bulk of the contest, with Adelphi scoring in the 28th minute for the only goal of the first half.

The second half remained 1-0 until the final 11 minutes of play; the Panthers scored three times in a 4:34 span to expand the edge to 4-0.

Sara Avery made seven saves in the game.

AIC will take a break from NE10 play to face Caldwell University on Wednesday, October 15 at 7:00 p.m.
