SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College men's volleyball team went 0-2 in a busy home weekend, dropping a 13-25, 25-21, 18-25, 16-25 result to Concordia University of Wisconsin on Friday, January 24 and then an 18-25, 11-25, 14-25 sweep to Merrimack College on Saturday, January 25.

AIC is now 1-5 overall. 

The Falcons soared through Friday's first set, hitting .444 and holding AIC to a .000 attack percentage as the Yellow Jackets racked up seven attack errors. AIC's play dramatically improved in the second set, which saw the Yellow Jackets double their kill total from the first set to 14 while dropping their errors to four, and also held the Falcons to a .200 attack percentage. 

The rise did not last; AIC hit .111 in the third and .250 in the fourth, while the Falcons hit .276 and .343 respectively to earn the sets and the match. Key to their success was the service line, where the Falcons had eight aces to AIC's two.

In Saturday's contest, the Warriors held AIC to a negative attack percentage in each of the three sets, including an 11-0 run to start the second. AIC totaled just 15 kills in the match.

AIC will look to rebound on Thursday, January 30 at 7:00 p.m. when the Yellow Jackets host Emerson College.
