BOCA RATON, Florida - The American International College baseball team fell 7-2 to Southern Connecticut State University in the Florida finale for both teams on Saturday, March 18.
AIC is now 5-8 on the season.
The Yellow Jackets opened the scoring as Tyler Ziemak came home in the second frame on a wild pitch. The Owls tied the game in the fourth and then broke it open in the sixth, scoring six times. AIC notched one in the seventh, a Josh Frometa leadoff home run, but could not complete a rally.
The two teams next face off at Richard F. Bedard Field in AIC's home opener on Wednesday, March 22.
