GARDEN CITY, New York - Freshman Antonella Mikolyuk set a new standard for the American International College women's lacrosse team in draw controls, but No. 5 Adelphi University won 22-4 in the Northeast-10 Conference finale for both teams on Saturday, April 30.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The teams traded early goals as Megan Keener and Kathryn Moody scored in the first 1:21, assisted by Kristian Kallansrude and Mikolyuk, respectively, before the Panthers scored seven of the next eight goals in the frame to lead 8-2 after one. Sam Giordano netted AIC's other goal of the first.
- Mikolyuk set up Moody again to open the scoring in the second, and later scored an unassisted goal, but the rest of the period was all Panthers, who took a 15-4 lead into the break, and ultimately won 22-4.
JUST HOW YOU DRAW IT UP:
- Mikolyuk won 13 draw controls on the day, a single-game best for her.
- The total gave her 97 on the year, besting the record of 92 set by Cheyenne Carden in the 2015 season.
- Of her 97 draws, 74 were won in NE10 games, fifth-most in the conference for the season.
- Liz Day ended the season with 44 draw controls, seventh-most in a season in AIC history.
AND I AM IRON MAN:
- In Jessica Stone's final game as a Yellow Jacket, the senior goalkeeper collected eight saves.
- Between her time with field hockey and women's lacrosse, she reached the 500-save plateau, stopping 502 opposing bids.
- Of that total, 160 came in lacrosse and 342 occurred in field hockey.
