HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Adelphi opened the scoring in the second inning of the first game as Faith Camilleri hit a ball over the right-center field fence to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead. One inning later, Courtney Wengryn launched a longball out to double the edge.
- In the fourth, Camilleri and Sophia Cicchetti walked, and a hard-hit ball from Brianna Pearson ricocheted off of Erti, allowing Camilleri to score. The Panthers would end up with the latter two on second and third, but they were stranded when Lilly Acampora robbed Wengryn with a diving catch.
- Cicchetti doubled in the sixth and ultimately scored on a Pearson groundout.
- In the seventh, four straight singles led to a run for Adelphi, but Abigail Wells threw a dart home to put out Jaden Farhat. The Panthers closed out the game with the win, 5-0.
- In the second game, Alexa Scaripanti hit a flare to right in the second inning that the wind blew down the line for a double. Lauren O'Neill singled her home from there.
- AIC's offense scuffled, as it was held to one hit, a Kodi Gora single in the fourth, leaving the sole run for Adelphi as the only scoring in the game.
