Box Score BOCA RATON, Florida – The American International College baseball team rounded out a three game series with Lynn University on Sunday, March 6. Despite scoring first, the Yellow Jackets fell 15-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the top of the second, rookie Kiernan Caffery knocked a two-out single to left. Junior Chad Lavelle put the ball and play and forced a Lynn error which allowed Caffery to cruise to third. Sophomore Michael Nazzaro landed a single to center and Caffery gave AIC the 1-0 lead.
- Lynn answered in the bottom of the inning by scoring six runs on five hits and a Yellow Jacket error to take the lead by a handful. They added a run in the third to extend their lead.
- As the game entered the top of the sixth, senior Brandon Gaul led the inning with a single to center. He reached third when junior Alejandro Mosquera hit a two-bagger to center. Freshman Austin Bequeath recorded a sacrifice fly as Gaul tagged from third. Caffery singled to right and the Fighting Knights made a pitching change. With runners on the corners, Lavelle singled to left and Mosquera scored to make it 5-3.
- The Fighting Knights answered with eight runs in the sixth to take the 15-3 lead.
- With a runner on third in the eighth, Caffery grounded out to first but freshman Jackson Haker scored and give AIC its fourth run of the day.
