HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Both teams had high quality chances snuffed out by defenders in the first few minutes of the game; Feline van Doorn was turned aside by the work of sophomore Na'Bree Wallace just over two minutes in, and Wallace was denied a goal by Annie Corbett at the other end just over four minutes later.
- Van Doorn kept chipping away and finally was able to score for the Ravens, taking a pass from Julia Rooijakkers atop the circle from right to left and sliding the ball low right into the cage at 8:42 of the second.
- AIC came out firing in the third, pounding six shots on goal in the first 6:01 of the period, but the Ravens were the team to strike, with Meghan Winn driving a pass forward for Christine Jarowicz, who in turn shot home her team's second tally at 8:16.
- In the fourth, freshman Dominique Bassallo nearly was able to break the shutout, with Rebecca Phillips making a stop along the goal line; for Phillips it was revenge after one of her scoring chances was saved by junior Michaela Vail in the third period.
- Corbett banged a rebound of a Rooijakkers shot home at 50:43 for the final margin of scoring.
