  • The Golden Knights, playing in their first game of the season made a push to make it 6-4 later in the set. After bringing it within two, Serra and freshman Dora Butkovic finished the play with kills before forcing another Golden Knight error. Saint Rose scored once before the Yellow Jackets took three of the next four points.
  • AIC continued to roll jumping out to the 23-16 lead. The Golden Knights fought back and made it a four-point game, 24-20 before they committed an error to end the first set.
  • In the second set, AIC kept the momentum rolling and played good defense to help them pull to a 14-5 lead before the Golden Knights took their first timeout.
  • The Yellow Jackets kept their foot on the pedal as they recorded 13 kills, four aces and forced four Saint Rose attack errors that paved the way for a 25-13 win
  • The third set started much closer to than the first two as the teams were tied at nine. A pair of attack errors by St. Rose and kills by Serra and rookie Paola Alejandra Soto-Burgos give AIC the 13-9 lead.
  • AIC trailed 19-18 as Serra once again sparked another run for the Yellow Jackets. Senior Claudia Gonzalez had back-to-back aces to help bring AIC to the 22-19 lead.
