HOW IT HAPPENED:
Game 1:
- Adelphi opened up the scoring early, taking a 2-0 lead as Lauren O'Neill singled to right center which brought Emily Whitman home. O'Neill joined shortly after as the bases were loaded and a walk by Kendall Winn brought her in to score.
- The Panthers added to their lead in the second when a fielding error allowed Amanda Owens to run home on a single by Daniella Roselli.
- Whitman hit a triple in the third inning to bring both Owens and Ashley Lombardi in to score. Shortly after, Whitman herself touched home plate on a bunt by O'Neill, bringing the score after three to 6-0.
- O'Neill's single to right brought in two more runs by Owens and Lombardi which sealed the Panthers' victory in five.
Game 2:
- Roselli's sacrifice flyout to right brought Whitman home to open up the scoring in the first inning. O'Neill added to the Panthers early lead as she scored on Faith Camilleri's single up the middle.
- The second inning almost mirrored the first as Whitman and O'Neill each scored on singles from Roselli and Sophia Cicchetti.
- Heading into the fourth inning, the Yellow Jackets ended the shutout streak as Jalia Santos was brought home by Victoria Andrade's sacrifice flyout to center.
- In the fifth, the Panthers added two more to their lead as Winn scored on a triple by Cicchetti, who was then brought home by Camilleri's groundout at second.
