HOW IT HAPPENED:
Game 1:
- The Chargers opened up the first inning with a 3-0 lead over the Yellow Jackets as Mya Case, Nahtali Simpson, and Morgan Fisher all scored.
- New Haven added four more to its lead in the second when Melissa Bike scored on a single by Case. Simpson's single brought home both Case and Ashley Veisz, followed shortly after by Fitzmaurice on a groundout to the shortstop by Fisher.
- The Yellow Jackets cut New Haven's shutout dreams short when Makaylah Mutz was brought home by Mackenzie Berman.
- New Haven responded with another run by Simpson, bringing the score to 8-1 Chargers.
- The Chargers victory was sealed with a walk-off RBI by Jovanna Hillman that brought Case home.
Game 2:
- New Haven's Case opened up the scoring in the first inning for the Chargers as she scored on the throw after a wild pitch as Ava Fitzmaurice struck out.
- The Yellow Jackets tied the game up at 1, as Berman singled to right field, which brought Victoria Andrade home.
- The Chargers regained the lead in the third on a double down the left field line by Fisher, which brought Simpson home. Fisher then scored on a single by Hailey Laforte to right, bringing their lead over the Yellow Jackets to 3-1.
- Veisz grew the Chargers lead to 4-1 as she was brought home by a single from Hillman.
- The Chargers secured their victory in the sixth as Hillman sacrificed herself on a flyout to center field to bring Fitzmaurice home, followed by Ellie Fredericks' three-run homerun to left field which brought home Fisher and Simpson.

- The Yellow Jackets will be in action again on Friday, April 30 as they head to Garden City, New York to take on Adelphi University in a doubleheader scheduled for 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., respectively.
