Davila runs for182 yards, two touchdowns in football's season finale

SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts The American International College football team honored their seniors on Saturday, November 13. The Yellow Jackets sent out the seniors with a 14-7 win over Pace University in Northeast-10 Conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The first play of the second quarter resulted in a one-yard Pace run for a touchdown to take the 7-0 lead.
  • With 12:30 on the clock, the Setters were forced to punt with their heels in their end zone. The snap was bad and the punt which only went seven yards as freshman Sidiki Kone caught the kick at the 10-yard line.
  • AIC had first and goal on their first play. In two plays senior running back, Samad Davila gained all 10-yards and tied the game at seven.
  • In the third quarter, the Yellow Jackets had a 2nd-and-1 on the Pace 15 when Davila swung out to the left and found the endzone to give AIC the 14-7 lead.
  • The Setters had the ball with a minute left in the game. They completed back-to-back passes for six yards. Junior La'Trell Hollis ended the game by sacking the quarterback.

  • The Yellow Jackets' season comes to an end. They will now turn their sights on the 2022 season.
