HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Bentley held control of possession in the first frame, but the Yellow Jackets did not allow the Falcons to turn that into scoring chances. The hosts managed just one shot attempt, despite two corners in the first 15 minutes.
- AIC generated the first shot on target of the game, a bid by graduate student Nadia Elcock that Madison Clark turned away in the 17th minute.
- Bentley's first two opportunities came in the 25th minute, as Lida Coco had two cracks at the net, but senior Jessica Stone stuffed both opportunities. At halftime, the score remained 0-0.
- Bentley finally broke the tie early in the third on a penalty corner; Ava Bevilacqua's third chance was lifted into the net after Stone rejected her first two opportunities.
- In the fourth, Bentley poured on the pressure, putting seven shots on goal, but Stone stopped them all. AIC had just one chance, an attempt by freshman Jennifer Paulino, that was stopped by Mia Trottie, as the Falcons held on to win 1-0 and end AIC's season.
