HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After AIC took the first three points of the sets, the Ravens tried to get sneaky and take a 7-4 lead. The Yellow Jackets were able to recover quickly as they tied the set at 10. The Ravens took the next point before sophomore Naomi Eckert-Rivera started a run for the Yellow Jackets. Junior Ada Guilera Martinez had a kill before she tagged up with rookie Paola Soto-Burgos for a block. Rounding out the 5-0 run was a kill by graduate Andrea Serra-Rosa and a Ravens error. AIC took the first set, 25-18.
- Franklin Pierce trailed 10-5 when they went on a run to take the 12-11 lead. The lead did not last long as the Yellow Jackets rallied back with an 8-2 run of their own. Leading 20-18, freshman Ulrika Blomgren notched a kill before sophomore Mai-Lani Hernandez recorded back-to-back kills. The Ravens took a point before Hernandez sent another to the ground. Serra-Rosa ended the set at 25-20 with a kill.
- AIC must have had The Merrymen playing in between sets as they came out hot, hot, hot by taking the 7-1 lead. The Ravens scored their second point of the match but the Yellow Jackets kept grooving to a 12-3 advantage.
- Leading 14-9, AIC used a 6-1 run to put the team within five points of victory. Up 23-13, Serra-Rosa recorded her match-high 14th kill. The Ravens then committed an attack error before Guilera Martinez aced a serve to end the match.
