WATERBURY, Connecticut The American International College men's lacrosse team won their first game in two years, defeating Post University 11-8 on Tuesday, February 18.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- At the 11:31 mark of the opening quarter, the Eagles had scored two goals, one from Mark Colella and the other from Nick Meier.
- Less than two minutes later, sophomore Avery Foye found the back of the net to trail Post by one.
- At the 6:36 mark, the game was tied at two thanks to a goal from sophomore Jason Vickery. Fourteen seconds later, freshman Dylan Heald found sophomore Rusty Stone who ripped a shot to give the Yellow Jackets their first lead of the young season. Seventeen seconds later, sophomore Landon Reyes scored AIC's fourth consecutive goal and the team's third goal in under a minute to lead 4-2 over the Eagles.
- The second quarter began with another AIC goal. Rusty Stone scored his second goal of the day off a pass from Vickery at the 13:57 mark.
- The Eagles responded after AIC's 5-0 run when Colella scored for Post, cut the Yellow Jacket to 5-3.
- With less than five minutes to go in the first half, Reyes connected with Heald for the Yellow Jackets sixth goal.
- Post scored before the half ended, but the Yellow Jackets entered the half with a 6-4 advantage over the Eagles.
- Heald and Foye began the third quarter with a pair of goals to give AIC an 8-4 advantage. Post scored one goal that quarter as the Yellow Jacket lead was three after three.
- Less than a minute into the fourth quarter, Foye scored his third goal of the contest and his fifth goal of the season.
- At the 10:42 mark, Stone matched Foye with a hat trick of his own. Post responded with two goals to shorten the AIC lead back to three, but Reyes scored back-to-back goals that lifted the Yellow Jackets over Post.
