NORTH EASTON, Massachusetts Stonehill College outscored the American International College women's basketball team 65-36 in Northeast-10 Conference action on Tuesday, January 28.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Skyhawks jumped out to a 5-0 run in the first minute and a half of the game. Senior guard Rashana Siders drained a three off the pass from freshman guard Kayla Robinson. With 6:11 remaining in the opening stanza, freshman forward Sarah Guntin Barriero made it a one point game on a layup, 8-7. Stonehill went on a 14-4 run to close the quarter.
- AIC outscored the Skyhawks 4-2 in the first two and a half minutes of the second frame. The home defense locked in the rest of the quarter as they held their opponent to just five more points in the quarter. At the break the home team led 36-20.
- Junior forward Jayla McDuffie opened the scoring in the second half with a layup two minutes in. The Skyhawk defense continued to shut down the Yellow Jackets' offense on their way to a 65-36 victory.
