HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Falcons started the scoring with a layup 26 seconds into the game. AIC trailed 6-0 when freshman guard Kayla Robinson drove to the basket and laid in the first Yellow Jackets points of the game. The Falcons, who are just outside the national top-25, held the Yellow Jackets to nine points in the first quarter while scoring 20.
  • With 3:48 remining in the first half, junior forward Asia Turner nailed a three for her first points of the game. After a field goal by the visitors, senior guard Rashana Siders swished a three on the right wing to make it 37-18. Three possessions later, she slid closer to the corner on the right side and hit nothing but net from deep. At the break, the Falcons led 41-21.
  • After refocusing and modifying the game plan, AIC opened the second half on a 5-2 run that included a left-wing transition three by Perry off the pass from Siders. In the last three minutes of the quarter, Robinson tied the entire Bentley team with four points while Perry and junior forward Jayla McDuffie each had two points. The Yellow Jackets started to chip at their deficit as they outscored the Falcons 15-13 in the 10-minute stretch.
  • While the Falcons scored the first points of the quarter, the Yellow Jackets answered with a three by Turner and right-handed layup off the hands of Siders. The run did not last long as the visitors answered with a 15-6 run of their own as they took the game 75-47.
