MANCHESTER, New Hampshire - The American International College women's soccer team suffered their first loss of the season, falling 2-1 to Mercy College, on Sunday, September 8.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Sophomore goalkeeper Tamra Zippin put together another scoreless half in the net for the Yellow Jackets.
- Redshirt sophomore Josefine Stendahl gave AIC the early 1-0 lead, scoring a goal in the 11th minute of action.
- Although being outshot five to 11, the Yellow Jackets led 1-0 over Mercy at the half.
- Five minutes into the second half, Mercy found the back of the net and tied the game at one.
- In the 80th minute of play, Natalia Elizarraras scored her second goal of the day to give Mercy the 2-1 lead over the Yellow Jackets.
- The second goal from the Mavericks was the deciding factor, as the Yellow Jackets fell 2-1 to Mercy in their second game of the season.
