PLEASANTVILLE, New York- The American International College baseball team fell 4-0 in its Northeast-10 Conference Southwest Division series opener at Pace University on Friday, May 2.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Offense was at a premium for both teams; through the first six innings, runners reached third just three times as sophomore Joe Kemlage stifled Pace's batters while Thomas Ippolito shut down the AIC hitters.
- In the seventh, Pace finally broke the deadlock, scoring four unearned runs thanks to a pair of walks and a pair of hits plus two errors and a wild pitch. Dean Depreta drove in the first run with a double that was the lone extra-base hit of the game.
- Ippolito went the distance for the Setters, allowing just a lone hit to senior Brendan Carter as the Setters took game one of the series 4-0.
