BUFFALO, New York The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) named its 2018-19 CCM/AHCA Hockey All-Americans. Among the 25 players honored at the Frozen Four on Friday, April 12 was American International College ice hockey junior forward

"Blake has been a huge part of our program the last three years," said head coach
Eric Lang, noting that "he's a notoriously hard worker at his craft and one of the most skilled players in the country. What a day for our program and for Blake."
Christensen set new standards for offensive output in the program's Division I era during the 2018-19 campaign. In 41 games, he notched 16 goals and 31 assists for 47 points, the latter two setting new benchmarks for a player in a season for the program. He helped lead the team to its first-ever Atlantic Hockey regular season championship, first-ever Atlantic Hockey Tournament title, and first-ever NCAA Tournament win.
Among the crucial points he scored were the game-winning tally in overtime against Robert Morris University in the AHC Semifinal, an assist on the overtime winner against Niagara University in the AHC Championship, and an assist on the game-winning goal against No. 1 St. Cloud State University in the NCAA West Region Semifinal.
Christensen is the fifth All-American in program history; the previous four were during the Division II/III era of the program, which was then referred to by the AHCA as the "College Division." Dave Forbes won the honor in 1970-71, Tom Mullen did so in 1975-76 and again in 1977-78, and Mike Smith also won in 1977-78.
