Bentley tops football in season finale

WALTHAM, Massachusetts The American International College football team rounded out their 2019 season against Bentley University in Northeast-10 Conference play on Saturday, November 16.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Yellow Jackets started their season finale with the ball. Two plays into the drive the Falcons forced a fumble and recovered the ball on the AIC 28. It took them two plays, to find the end zone and take the 7-0 lead.
  • The Falcons then forced a three-and-out on the next AIC drive as they started with the ball on their own 44. Six plays later, they extended their lead to 14 on a one-yard rush. The Falcons added a field goal with seven minutes left in the half as they went into the locker room up 17-0.
  • The Falcons came out and scored on their first drive on the second half. On the ensuing kickoff, the Falcons forced a fumble during the recovery, but the Yellow Jackets were able to jump on the ball at their own 16. The Falcons continued to give the Yellow Jackets issues. In the fourth quarter, the Falcons picked off the Yellow Jackets and took it to the house as they grew their lead to 38-0.
