Men's soccer cruises past Hartwick in exhibition

The American International College men's soccer team dominated from start to finish in an exhibition victory over Hartwick College in its first home action on Friday, September 7.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • By the eighth minute, AIC jumped out to a 2-0 lead, off a pair of header goals from grad student Alexandre Frank and sophomore Josip Validzic.
  • The lead became 3-0 by the 30th minute when junior Steven Hernandez notched a goal.
  • Junior Felipe Novelini had a pair of goals in the 38th and 41st minutes to give the Yellow Jackets a 5-0 lead.
  • Sophomore Connor Hicks added a goal in the 59th minute to push AIC's lead to 6-0.

BUZZWORTHY:
  • AIC did not allow any Hartwick shots in the entire contest, outshooting the Hawks 27-0.
