EASTON, Massachusetts - The American International College men's soccer team fell in a tight contest to Stonehill College, 1-0, in Northeast-10 Conference action on Saturday, September 15.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The first half was tightly played, with a slight 7-6 advantage in shots for the Skyhawks in the first half.
- However, in the second half, Stonehill pulled away, holding a 15-5 edge in shots, and the Skyhawks were able to take the lead in the 62nd minute off a goal from Trevor Tubbs.
- Grad student back Adrian Romero and sophomore midfielder Connor Hicks countered with back-to-back shots on goal immediately after the goal, but Stonehill keeper Brendan Hughes scooped up both.
- A late shot from junior captain Jake Durham was to no avail, as Hughes recorded a save with under 1:40 to play to preserve the shutout.
BUZZWORTHY:
- Sophomore goalkeeper Ioannis Iatroudis tied a season high with five saves against the Skyhawks.
- The Yellow Jackets have been held scoreless by their opponents for the past three games.

- AIC takes a long road trip to Syracuse, New York, to face Le Moyne College on Wednesday, September 19.
