HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Falcons erupted for six goals in the first quarter and had a 7-0 lead at the 1:02 mark of the second frame; among the tallies for the visiting side were all three of Matt Sanford's goals.
- Senior attacker Jack McIntyre picked AIC's offense up later in the frame, netting back-to-back goals in a 2:25 span to cut the gap to 7-2. The Falcons struck twice more before the half ended, while redshirt freshman attacker Matt Deloria scored for AIC after setting up one of McIntyre's goals.
- In the third, the Falcons flew out strong again, scoring five times while only conceding one goal to rookie attacker Rawill Hererra. An early fourth-quarter man-up goal put Bentley ahead 15-4, but AIC controlled play for much of the remainder of the game, as junior midfielder Quinn Caesar snuck one home on a breakout pass from junior midfielder Hunter Cooney, and, after a Bentley goal, AIC scored three straight, including goals by Deloria and McIntyre.
- The Falcons scored twice in the final minute for the 18-8 final.
STATS TO END THE SEASON ON:
- McIntyre's career ends ranked fifth in points (94), eighth in goals (53) and second in assists (41) in program history.
- Redshirt junior midfielder Will Lewis closes out his career third all-time in faceoff wins (287) and 10th all-time in ground balls (141).
- Freshman goalkeeper Jacob Ortiz finished second in saves in a season (248).
