HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Pace netted all six goals in the first; Joseph Diggle opened the scoring at 3:45, and from there the Setters built up the advantage.
  • Nearly half of the second period went without a goal until Wyatt Barfoot struck for Pace at 6:08 of the period.
  • Freshman attacker Rawill Herrera broke Pace's shutout with 2:42 left in the frame, but Pace struck again in the final minute for an 8-1 halftime lead.
  • The Setters managed another six goals in the third frame to build up a 14-1 edge.
  • In the fourth, AIC's offense awoke, as redshirt freshman attacker Matt Delora struck from rookie attacker Liam Flanagan at the 40 second mark. Just over a minute later, senior attacker Colton Larkin tickled the twine at 1:57.
  • AIC's attack continued as sophomore midfielder Jack Shaughnessy scored at 4:22 from Deloria, then senior attacker Jack McIntyre set up Herrera's second at 6:05. The Yellow Jackets made it five in a row shortly after, as Flanagan found the cage at 6:21.
  • However, the Setters closed the door from there for the Yellow Jackets, scoring twice before the game ended themselves for the 16-6 final.
FEAR THE WRATH OF RA:
  • Herrera's two goals in this contest put him at eight tallies on the season. The rookie is tied for fifth in the NE10 in goals.
