SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College women's basketball team took down Bloomfield College 76-45 on Saturday, December 15 at Butova Gym.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Bears started the game off with a three-pointer, but the Yellow Jackets responded with eight straight points.
• With 3:42 remaining in the first quarter, senior forward Dana Watts converted a layup to give the Yellow Jackets a 10-point lead, 17-7. Bloomfield would hit a couple of shots to close the first quarter down 17-11.
• In the second quarter, the AIC lead shrunk down to just three points with 5:19 remaining, 24-21. AIC started to pull away at the 4:12 mark, outscoring Bloomfield 11-2 to take a 37-25 lead at the half.
• The second half was all AIC; the team started the half on another 11-2 run, extending its first-half run to 22-4.
• The Yellow Jackets would lead by 21 after the third, 61-40.
• AIC continued to dominate, growing the lead to 31 with 1:22 remaining in the game, 76-45. The score would remain the same at the final whistle, giving AIC the win.
