  • Junior forward Steven Hernandez added a goal in the 85th minute to ensure a 2-0 win for the Yellow Jackets.

BUZZWORTHY:
  • This is the first time in Luke Perry's tenure as AIC head coach that the Yellow Jackets have beaten Southern Connecticut - Perry and assistant coach Julian Myers' alma mater.
  • Additionally, this is just the second time ever that AIC has beaten the Owls - the other time came in 2013, when Perry was an assistant for the program the fall after graduating from Southern Connecticut.
  • Durham scored his first goal of the year, and is now tied for third on the team in total points this season (six).
  • With his win today, senior goalkeeper Nicholas Romei earned his seventh career win, moving into a tie for seventh place in AIC program history for wins. He also had his first shutout of the year, and his third as a Yellow Jacket.

COACH'S CORNER:
  • "The lads were tremendous today," Perry said. "We had some great moments within the game and played a very smart game of soccer. It's a tough place to go and get a result, but we did it convincingly."
