Down 14-10, AIC closed out the quarter with a jumper from Watts to get within two points of the visitors.
  • After Watts connected on a layup to begin the second quarter and tie up the contest, the Hawks went on a 6-0 run to possess a 20-14 advantage with 8:09 remaining in the half. Minutes later, the Yellow Jackets saw themselves facing a six-point deficit but continued to chip closer to the lead with layups from Jayla McDuffie and Jayda Gilmore. After St. Anselm sank four straight free throws to earn their biggest lead of the game thus far at 32-24, Watts scored the last three remaining points of the half to have AIC down just five points going into the break.
  • To start the third quarter, AIC got back-to back jumpers from Rashana Siders and Ishanna Brown to be down just 32-31. Following that, the Hawks proceeded to go on a 9-1 run and have a 41-32 cushion at the 4:57 mark of the third quarter.
