NEW HAVEN, Connecticut - For the second straight season, a penalty kick goal was the only marker as the Southern Connecticut State Owls defeated the American International College women's soccer team 1-0 in a Northeast-10 Conference matchup.

- Victoria Buonanni opened the scoring for the Owls on a penalty kick, scoring at 20:49 to put SCSU up 1-0.
- AIC came out firing in the second half, and drew a PK midway through the frame, but Anais Chareyron's bid was foiled by Gabrielle Arruda.
- Though AIC ended the game with an 8-5 edge in shots-on-goal, the Yellow Jackets could not find the equalizer.
