ERIE, Pennsylvania-The American International College field hockey team scored first but fell 2-1 to Mercyhurst University in the team's second game in as many days.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- For the second straight game, AIC struck first, as Chelsea Davis buried a pass from Katie Lombardozzi at 26:49.
- Claire Ahern tied things up at 32:27, on an assist from Leah Rogers.
- Rogers scored the only goal of the second half, from Ahern, at 43:14.
GAME NOTES:
- Davis and Lombardozzi each ended the weekend set with a goal and an assist.
- Davis now has a three-game point streak (1-2-4) dating back to the last game of last season.
- The two hockey teams are the only sports the Yellow Jackets face the Lakers in-ice hockey plays Mercyhurst four times in 2017-18.
