Softball prepares for eight-game week

The American International College softball team will look to extend its six-game winning streak this upcoming week with a very heavy schedule. On Tuesday, April 11, the Yellow Jackets will host Le Moyne College in a doubleheader at Judy Groff Field, then will travel to the College of Saint Rose on the following Wednesday, April 12. AIC will end its busy week with two doubleheaders on the road against the University of New Haven on Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15.

DURING THE WIN STREAK: AIC has only given up two runs in its last 39 innings of play. Alyssa Camargo, Jillian Bedard and Sarah Beliveau all chipped in from the mound during the winning streak, While Yami Lopez-Perez and Alexa DiLeo have been tearing the cover off the ball. Lopez-Perez hit 10-for-20 with two triples and a home run during the week, while DiLeo had two doubles and two home runs while hitting 8-for-22.

SCOUTING LE MOYNE: Le Moyne is currently 18-11 (2-5) and is coming off of a split doubleheader with Saint Michael's College. Le Moyne won the first game of the doubleheader, 9-0, and then lost the second, 4-3. Dolphins senior shortstop Courtney Case will be looking to continue her hot streak.
