ALBANY, New York - The American International College women's basketball team took down the Chargers of Dominican by a score of 69-48 in the final game of the St. Rose Holiday Classic.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Siders opened the game with a three on the first AIC possession before Watts added four more and Ishanna Brown hit one from deep to give the Yellow Jackets the 10-0 lead almost four minutes into the game. The Chargers started to get into a groove, but AIC led after 10 minutes of play by a score of 17-8.
- The Chargers cut the AIC led to six before the Yellow Jackets went on a run. Guyon and Nadia Wooten combined for six points to make it a 25-13 game with 7:17 left in the first half.
- The Yellow Jackets had the ball with just over 30 second lefts in the half when Brown hit another jumper to grow the AIC lead to 16, the largest edge of the first half.
- Watts opened the second half with a layup, then Guyon knocked down a free throw to make it a 19-point game. The Chargers cut it down to 12 before AIC started to pull away again. With four and a half left in the third, Nyrie Holliman knocked down a pair of free throws expand the lead to 20 points, and fter three quarters, the Yellow Jackets led 53-35.
- The Yellow Jackets continued to control the game in the final frame; their lead did not fall below 11, and ultimately they took the game, 69-48.
GAME NOTES:
- The Yellow Jackets had four players score in double figures on Saturday afternoon, marking the third time they have done so this season.
- Watts' double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds is the ninth time the junior has achieved the feat this campaign. Watts leads the NE10 in scoring at 21.1 points per game and is fifth in rebounds at 9.9 per game.
- Guyon's double-double is her fifth of the season, with her last one coming against Southern Connecticut on December 5.
