ALBANY, New York The American International College women's basketball team went on the road to take on the College of Saint Rose in a Northeast-10 Conference matchup. The Yellow Jackets fell to the Golden Knights, 57-48, on Saturday, November 18.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After Dominique Boyd made a layup to give AIC an early 4-2 lead with 4:17 left in the first quarter, Saint Rose proceeded to on a 16-0 run to have an 18-4 advantage at the end of the quarter.
- Down 25-10 with 6:21 remaining in the second quarter, the Yellow Jackets began to chip away when Rashana Siders nailed a triple and then followed it up with a jumper a few possessions later to make it 25-15.
- Down five points with just a minute to play in the quarter, Siders stole the ball and then connected on a layup to cut the deficit to three points. Siders then hit a pair of free throws to be down just 27-26 at the half. In the last 3:53 left of the first half, the Yellow Jackets held the Golden Knights scoreless.
- Just 40 seconds into the third quarter, AIC was able to retake the lead when made a layup. Dana Watts then produced two points of her own to put the score at 30-27 in favor of the Yellow Jackets. But in a 1:04 span, Saint Rose scored five consecutive points to regain the lead at 32-30.
- As the Golden Knights were up 37-36 with just over two minutes left in the third quarter, Ishanna Brown grabbed a defensive rebound and made a pass to Siders, who knocked down a three-pointer to give AIC the two-point lead.
- In the first four minutes of the fourth quarter, Saint Rose went on a 6-0 run in order to have a 45-41 advantage with 5:40 remaining in the game. Down 48-43 with 2:44 left in the contest, the Yellow Jackets began to storm back with back-to-back buckets from Alyssa Guyon and Siders to be down just one point with 2:03 remaining. AIC coach Kristen Hutchison took a timeout with 38 seconds left after the Golden Knights drained a three to have a 51-48 advantage. Coming out of the timeout, the Yellow Jackets proceeded to go on a drought to end the game and Saint Rose scored six straight points to earn the 57-48 victory.
GAME NOTES:
- Siders' team-high 17 points was a career high for the sophomore. The last time Siders scored in double figures was last season, when she scored 16 points and shot 4-7 from three against Bentley on January 14.
- Guyon has now recorded a double-double in her last three games. For the first time in her career, she has recorded a double-double in three out of her last four games. Before last weekend's games on November 10 and 11, Guyon's last double-double was on November 16 of last season when she did so against Saint Rose with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
