SYRACUSE, New York The American International College women's basketball team took the court for their first Northeast-10 conference game against the Dolphins of Le Moyne. The Yellow Jackets had a lead but could not hold it, falling 70-67 on Wednesday, November 15.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Watts got the game going on the Yellow Jackets' second possession as she picked off the Dolphins and then knocked down a jumper. On the next Dolphins' possession, they knocked down a triple and took their first lead of the game.
- With 6:18 left in the first half, the Yellow Jackets started an almost five and a half minute 11-2 run as they led after the first quarter 20-10.
- The Yellow Jackets continued to score in the second quarter as Siders and Watts each knocked down threes to give AIC the 26-10 lead.
- In the last 1:24 of the first half, the Yellow Jackets used a 6-2 run to take the 42-27 lead into the locker room.
- Coach Kristen Hutchison didn't like what she saw on their first possession on the second half as just 20 seconds into the half she called a timeout.
- Wooten ended the AIC scoring drought at the 7:37 mark with a jumper that made it a 44-28 game in favor of the Yellow Jackets. The third quarter was all Dolphins, as they almost doubled AIC's third quarter scoring, 17-9. As the two teams headed into the fourth quarter, the Yellow Jackets led 51-44.
- The Dolphins started to make a comeback at the 6:16 mark with a pair of free throws from Riddick to make it 58-50.
- Alyssa Guyon scored the Yellow Jackets final point as she went to the line for an and-one opportunity and sank the free-throw to make it a 67-59 game. Over the final 3:06, the Dolphins outscored the Yellow Jackets 11-0 to take the game 70-67.
GAME NOTES:
- Watts' 31 points against the Dolphins ties her for 15th place in most points in a game this season. The current leader is Felecity Havens of Mount Olive with 41 points. Her 31 point performance is also her fourth 30+ point performance of her career with the other three coming last season including a career high 35 points against St. Michael's on January 28th.
- Watts has now recorded a double-double in her last five games. Last season, Watts was in the top-15 in double-doubles in the nation.
- Guyon has now recorded a double-double in her last two games. For the first time in her career, she has recorded a double-double in back-to-back games. Before this weekend's games, Guyon's last double-double was on November 16th of last season when she did it against St. Rose with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
