HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • A large factor into the Dolphins lead, which got up to 16 in the first half, was the 17 AIC turnovers, off of which they scored 19 points. At the half, the Dolphins led 30-17.
  • The Dolphins continued to limit the scoring opportunities for the Yellow Jackets as it took almost three minutes for the Yellow Jackets to hit their first field goal of the second half.
  • Swan knocked down a triple at the 14:19 minute mark to cut their deficit to 12, before ultimately falling 55-41.
GAME NOTES:
  • The Yellow Jackets started 2-0 for the first time since the 2014-15 season.
  • For the first time this season, the Yellow Jackets were held below 32% shooting from the field.
  • The Yellow Jackets held the Dolphins to zero points off turnovers in the second half.
  • Owens tied a career record three blocks in the game. The last time he did that was on January 7th, 2017 against Southern New Hampshire.
