SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College women's rugby team hosted the Lions of Lindenwood (Mo.) for the second of three straight home games for the Yellow Jackets. The Lions were too much for the Yellow Jackets, as they took the game by a score of 77-26.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Lions jumped out to an early 27-0 lead in the first 30 minutes of play.
Bridget Kahele got the Yellow Jackets started with a little under 9:30 left in the first half. As time expired, Courtney Welsh added a try to bring it to a 32-12 game at the break.
Out of the locker room, Kayla Clark ran one in for an early try. The conversion by Elizabeth Harvey was good.
Clark scored again 13 minutes later to break the three-try streak of the Lions.
But the Lions continued to run, taking the game 75-26

The Yellow Jackets host Notre Dame College on Thursday, October 12 at 5:30 p.m. The Yellow Jackets will honor their seniors in a pregame ceremony.
