SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College women's rugby team hosted the Falcons of Notre Dame College on Thursday, October 12. Prior to the game, the Yellow Jackets honored its three seniors:
Kayla Hunkin-Clark,
Bridget Kahele and
Shamira Robles. The Yellow Jackets took the match by a score of 47-22, thanks to five tries from Hunkin-Clark.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Yellow Jackets' Shamira Robles scored just over a minute into the game. The Falcons answered back with a try, but missed the conversion. After 10 minutes of play, AIC led 7-5.
- Hunkin-Clark broke a 12-minute scoring drought, and the kick by Harvey made it 14-5 past the halfway point of the first half. With under five minutes left in the first half, Clark added another try and the conversion by Harvey made it 21-5 as the teams went into the half.
- The Falcons came out and scored five minutes into the second half to pull it within 11 points. Clark had other ideas on the senior night as she forced herself into the try zone for her third of the night.
- Clark was not done there as with 20 minutes left, she found the try zone again for her fourth of the night. Harvey's kick was good and AIC led 35-17. Then just three minutes later she was back for her fifth of the match.
BUZZWORTHY
- Kayla Clark scored five tries in the match. This ties Elizabeth Harvey for the third-most tries in a single game by player. Anne-Laurence Harvey holds the program record with six tries in a game. She did that twice in 2015 against Sacred Heart.
