BROOKVILLE, New York-The American International College women's soccer team battled national No. 6 LIU Post to a 1-1 draw on Saturday, October 7, in a matchup of East Region opponents.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the first half, AIC took the lead at 23:40 as Alanna Gracia took a free kick and fired it off the left post and in for her first of the year.
- The lead held until the final ten minutes of regulation, as Alice Schonfeldt banged in a loose ball on a pass from Kristen Breihof at 81:35.
- AIC outshot LIU Post 3-2 in overtime, but Hillevi Eklow and Mikayla Demanche kept the scoresheet clean in the extra session to preserve the draw.
COACHES' CORNER:
- "The team was focused for 110 minutes. They stuck to the game plan and we are able to get a great result on the road against the number six ranked team in the country," head coach Kevon Isa said after the contest.
