SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College football team suffered a tough Homecoming defeat against LIU Post by a final score of 70-21 on Saturday, October 21.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- LIU Post scored on its opening drive with a 12-yard touchdown pass from Yanni Gavalas to Deon Mash.
- With a little more than five minutes remaining in the first quarter LIU tacked on to their lead with Gavalas and Mash linking up again for a six-yard touchdown pass.
- The Pioneers extended their lead in the early stages of the second quarter when Malik Pierre broke free for a 49-yard touchdown run.
- Post closed the second half with a four-yard touchdown run from Pierre, which gave them a 28-0 lead.
- The Yellow Jackets scored on the opening drive of the second half with a five-yard touchdown pass from Jarvis to Williams.
- LIU wasted no time responding as Pierre returned the following kickoff 65 yards for a touchdown to make the score 35-7.
- With just under eight minutes to go in the third quarter, Pierre exploded for another impressive rushing touchdown, this one for 62 yards.
- Gavalas threw his third touchdown pass of the game with a little more than five minutes remaining in the third quarter when he found Mike Richardson for a six-yard catch.
- AIC got in the end zone for the second time when Jarvis sought out Lennox Green Jr. for a 38-yard touchdown.
- The Pioneers re-established their lead quickly when Gavalas threw his fourth touchdown pass of the day, this one for 51 yards to Jake Bofshever and brought the score to 56-14.
- Post scored four seconds into the fourth-quarter when Kadir Wisdom finished off a seven-play drive with a two-yard rushing touchdown. Wisdom picked up his second rushing touchdown of the game with a little less than six minutes to go with a 25-yard rush.
- The Yellow Jackets found consolation with three-and-a-half minutes remaining in the fourth when Jarvis connected with Ryheime Moore for a 33-yard touchdown pass to make the score 70-21.
GAME NOTES:
- Williams now has three receiving touchdowns for the season.
- This is the sixth time in history that AIC has conceded 60-plus points.
- The last time AIC gave up 70-points was in 1994 versus Bloomsberg.
