EASTON, Massachusetts -The American International College women's soccer team could not overcome a slow start in a 2-1 defeat against the Stonehill Skyhawks in Northeast-10 Conference action on Thursday, October 19.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Skyhawks took advantage of their first-half chances to take a 2-0 lead as Kayla Henry scored her first two goals of the year; the first was a finish on a cross by Meredith Moore at 26:48 and the second was a steal by Nicole Garfield in the offensive third that she passed to Henry, who then dribbled past a defender and slotted home her shot at 33:24.
- The Yellow Jackets came out with a stronger second-half effort, and were able to get one back as a cross by Alanna Gracia was deflected by Jennifer Hackett and then driven into the net at the right post by Jocylyn Deome at 51:27.
- AIC outshot Stonehill 9-5 in the second half, but only had one other shot on target after the goal.
