Women's soccer earns USC Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Missouri - The United Soccer Coaches (formerly the NSCAA) announced the 2016-17 Team Academic Award Winners for collegiate soccer teams with cumulative team GPAs 3.00 or higher for the 2016-17 academic year, and for the 10th consecutive season the American International College women's soccer team was among the recipients of the award.

"We recruit players who work hard to be successful in the classroom as well as on the field, and this award is a perfect example of their effort," head coach Kevon Isa said.

The Yellow Jackets were one of nine Northeast-10 Conference teams to earn the award, and were joined by Bentley, Merrimack, New Haven, Pace, Saint Michael's, Saint Rose, Southern Connecticut, and Stonehill. Among the conference's teams earning the award, AIC's 3.42 GPA last season ranked fourth.
