The American International volleyball team traveled to Nyack College for a midweek showdown of one-loss teams. The Yellow Jackets took the match in three sets by scores of 25-16, 25-21, 25-18.
The 'Jackets out-hit the Warriors .245 to .100 in the match and had 36 kills to Nyack's 24.
Dolores Kopren led the Yellow Jackets in assists with 22 to bring her season average to 10.33 per set, second best in the Northeast 10 Conference.
Caitlin Sobolewski and
Marley D'Amore Morrison had eight kills apiece and both swung over .389 in the match.
Mercy Rivera lived up to her position of defensive specialist as she notched 20+ digs for the fourth time this year.
The Yellow Jackets continue their road swing at the Wildcat Invitational in Wilmington, Delaware on Friday, September 9. First up for the Yellow Jackets is Chestnut Hill College at 1 p.m. followed by host Wilmington University at 5 p.m.
