LAST TIME OUT:The Yellow Jackets are coming off a 4-0 weekend that included two sweeps, a four set match, and a five set match. They also took a three set sweep over Nyack College in a midweek showdown.
Jana Potic won the Northeast 10 Rookie of the Week while
Dolores Kopren won Setter of the Week. Potic recorded 43 kills with only nine errors while chipping in 10 digs. Kopren assisted in 206 of the team's 231 kills.
Diva Rivas-Reyes led the team in kills with 56 while swinging .217.
Annie Boele swung .305 while killing 52 balls and accruing nine aces.
LAST TIME THEY MET: On a spooky Thursday, October 31
st in 2013, the Bridgeport Knights took the match by a score of three sets to none.
24-9: This season, the Yellow Jackets have won 24 sets while only dropping nine. In three set matches, the Yellow Jackets are 3-1, 4-0 in four set matches, and 1-0 in five set matches.
99: They Yellow Jackets have 99 more kills than they have allowed this season, 455-356. They are forcing their opponents to swing at a .179 while the Yellow Jackets are swinging .243.
NEXT UP:AIC will travel to North Andover, Massachusetts where they will partake in the Merrimack Invitational. On Friday, the Yellow Jackets will take on the University of Nebraska-Kearney at noon and Bentley University at 4 p.m. The next morning, they will take on East Stroudsburg University before their afternoon match with host Merrimack College.
