WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. The American International College ice hockey squad closes out the regular season with clash with the Bentley Falcons at the Olympia Ice Center Wednesday Evening.

This marks the last of four meetings between the two schools this season with Bentley holding the 2-0-1 edge. There is still an outside shot the two will meet again in the playoffs.
LAST TIME OUT: AIC dropped both ends of a home-and-home series against Holy Cross falling 8-1 in Worcester on Friday before a late third period goal handed them a 2-1 loss on Saturday in West Springfield.
LAST TIME THEY MET: The last meeting between the two teams was a 5-5 tie on January 23rd at the Olympia. Freshman Trevor Cope collected a pair of goals in that contest.
MR. 1000: Goaltender Alex Murray hit the 1,000 save plateau for the season during Saturday's 2-1 loss to Holy Cross. The sophomore now has 1,007 saves on the year which leads all of Division I. Frank Novello holds the AIC Division I record for saves in a season with 1,180 during the 2004-05 campaign.
ABOUT BENTLEY: Max French is just three points shy of 100 for his career and he's only a junior. He currently leads the team in goals with 18 and points with 40 which is good for fifth and third in the conference, respectively. Kyle Schmidt leads the team in assists with 22, good for third in the conference while French's 22 place him fourth. Between the pipes the Falcons have two valuable options as senior Gabe Antoni stepped up when sophomore Jayson Argue went down with an injury earlier this season and has posted a 2.61 GAA and .917 save percentage with a 7-7-2 record while Argue has a 3.22 GAA and .908 save percentage with a 4-9-2 record.
UP NEXT: AIC has the weekend off as regular season play closes out before the start of the playoffs in two weeks. AIC will be on the road and could face Canisius, Bentley, Army or Sacred Heart depending upon how things shake out this weekend.
