Women's Rugby Drops 56 Points In Win Over West Chester

SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts- The American International College women's rugby team celebrated Senior Day in style, taking down West Chester by a score of 56-10.

Anne-Laurence Harvey got the game started with a try just under two minutes into the game. Anna Mbengam and Makayla Patton each added a try to help the Yellow Jackets open the game on 19-0 run. Five minutes before halftime Kayla Clark added to the Yellow Jacket led with a try. At the break the Yellow Jackets led 24-5.

Harvey and Molly Plante each added a try in the first in the first six minutes to make it a 36-5 lead. In the second half, the Yellow Jackets only allowed five points, as they took the game by a final score of 56-10.

The Yellow Jackets will hit the road for their last two regular season games. They will return to action on October 22 at 11 a.m. when they travel to take on Norwich University.
