The American International College women's soccer team closes out the 2016 regular season with a non-conference tilt against the ECC's Molloy College.

LAST TIME OUT: The Jackets suffered a heartbreaking 2-1 double overtime defeat at Bentley. AIC opened the scoring in the thirty-second minute as sophomore Johanna Englund drilled home a rebound, but the Falcons equalized seven minutes later on a free kick from about twenty-five yards out that was hit directly into the net. AIC had the larger share of chances in regulation and overtime, but it was Bentley that found the net with just under twenty seconds to go to take the three points in the second extra session.

Molloy earned a 1-1 draw with Mercy in East Coast Conference action in their most recent contest. Mercy held a 25-5 shot advantage for the game and struck first, burying a bid by Jessica Brandt in the thirty-sixth minute. The lead lasted until the dying moments of the first half, as Danielle Valente scored the equalizer with merely five seconds remaining in the period. The Lions held the Mavericks off the board from there, thanks largely to 11 saves from keeper Brianna Wilson.

LAST TIME THEY MET: It has been more than a decade since these two sides clashed. The last meeting was September 3, 2005, a 4-2 AIC win.

ECC VS. NE-10: Molloy has played three Northeast-10 opponents this season and was blanked in all of the games, falling 2-0 to Merrimack, 3-0 to Bentley, and 3-0 to Stonehill. The Yellow Jackets fared slightly better, with a 1-0 defeat against Bridgeport, a 2-1 loss at LIU Post, and a 1-0 win against Mercy College to start the season.

SENIOR DAY: Today marks the final regular season home contest for eight players for the Yellow Jackets. The team will honor Merissa Phipps, Jessica Margaretta, Stephanie Tweer, Serena Shuter, Brianna Kenney, Kendra Hixon, and Anais Chareyron.

NEXT UP: AIC will host the quarterfinals of the Northeast-10 Championship Tournament on Tuesday. The opponent is yet to be determined.
