WALTHAM, Mass. - The American International College women's tennis team dropped a Northeast-10 match at Bentley Tuesday afternoon, 9-0.
With the loss AIC falls to 1-5 overall and has the same mark in NE-10 matches, while with the win Bentley improves to 4-2 in both, as well.
AIC senior
Ana Paula Simoes (Brasilia, Brazil) fell in No. 1 singles to Ludmila Yamus, but not without a fight. Simoes fell early in the first set and ultimately lost, 3-6, but went on to sweep Yamus in the second set, 6-0. Simoes fought in the tie breaker, but lost by two games, 10-8.
Simoes and junior
Eleanna Fulop (Anixi-Attiki, Greece) claimed games in an 8-5 loss in first doubles.
AIC returns to action Thursday, Oct. 1 at Stonehill.
